Chemo Day

Another Chemo treatment has come and gone. It went well for Linda, except for her Back hurting. We had to use the wheel chair at the Center, but it is so easy to use. After the Dr visit, I got her in the back to get hooked up and left to do my marithon grocery shopping. This is the 2nd time I have done this, it seems to work out. I have about 1 hour to get as much as I can. I hit Joann's for a few things. I picked up a few stamps and 2 new stamp ink pad that will work for the new swap i joined and for the project that Linda wants to do.

The most amazing thing happened. I did not, I repeat, I did not buy any paper. Ok, pick yourself up off the floor. I know the Queen of paper did not buy paper.... amazing.... and no, I'm not sick, but thanks for asking...

I, of corse, forgot the grocery list, so I had to wing it and yes I know that's crazy, since I have lost most of my short-term memory, becuase it's filled with all of Linda's need to know info. I managed to fly thought wally world and remember most of the important must have things and made it back to pick Linda up. She only had to wait a few mins on me.. :D

So, we get back home get the car unloaded and it just seems like I ran all day. Linda told me that I basicly did and thanked me for remembering all the little things she asked for. told me to go lay down for a little bit. She told me that she was in bed and not getting out again.I jumped on the chance to relax, but when I got up, Linda's back was worse. Now, I think she re-pulled it Monday, and it hit her tonight.

Poor Linda, She seems to do good for a moment, to only have multiple things go wrong. At least, if she feels better tomorrow, she can go to the dentist to fix a tooth that the filled fell out yesterday. She realy has a good man for a dentist. He has fit her in a few times now to fix her ever fall apart teeth. Just one of the many wonderful side effects of chemo....
I hope tomorrow will find Linda feeling better.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. There were a lot of things that I wished Linda and I could have done, but that is just life and we tried to make the most of what we did do. We got a lot of much needed rest and we were able to go through a lot of Linda's things. She wants to make sure that I know who should recieve her most precious items after she has left us. As hard as that is, each item we looked at, brought out some wonderful memories and we laughed a lot. While she rested I was able to get some scrapping in and even attened an Online crop; Kathryn from Life on the Scrap Beach Blog, is very creative.

We did get to go see some fireworks yesterday night. They were spectacular!

I can't believe it. Time is just leaving me. I never seem to have enough time in the day to finish something I started. I know I spend way too much time on facebook, but I don't think that is the problem. I think I just can't focus. I get too distracted too easily.
It's like going into the grocery store and I know what I want to get. By the time I get to the check-out line, I'm trying to remember everything I need, but then I see the Rag Magazines... and forget about it! I'm looking at every cover getting more and more discussed. They pick on celebrities and wanna be celebs, like Jon & Kate plus 8. Why are they even in the news? I don't understand the appeal that they have. Ya, they have 8 kids. so what? The Osmond family has 7 children and they could sing and dance. Now, there is something I watched every week. I just don't get it. Now, people seem to be so concerned that the show might not go on. I heard this on the radio today. What will happen to poor Kat and the kids. OMG, i read a report that they earned over 2 million buck making that show, if they don't have anything to show for it, I certainly don't feel sorry for them. You know who needs or pity, The 8 kids who are in the middle of something that is hard to deal with in private, Let alone in front of America. I feel for them.

Is it April yet? Where did March go? It feels like I posted here yesterday, but wow, it's been a while. I'm back on track. I have completed a few Layouts. Are you holding on to something? Watch out. Make sure you are sitting down and not drinking hot tea. I Scrapped with ... ( looks around to see if anyone can hear me) ... Paper. OMG I know, I'm shocked too. I have missed it so much. Most of you know that I'm the Queen of paper, and yet, it seems that I only scrap layouts digitally. I think it's weird too. I am bag to my old self again. I did a few paper LO and a few digital ones.

I'll start with the digital one because, let's face it, it's easier to post....

WOW,

It's wonderful to have someone comment on a Layout that you post, but it's Super to have a website choose your Layout to spot light. It's not the first time this has happened, but it just shocks me every time. Listen to me, every time, like it happens every week. Well, I can say it has happened on March 5, 2009 and Feb 24, 2009. Hey that's once a week! Yay me! I can't remember the first time it happened, funny, you think that I would remember something exciting like that.

OK, so here is my latest Layout that I'm so excited about. It's the new kit from Larisa of Garden Girl Designs. It's called in daddy's Shoes. you can get it HERE . I knew when I saw the word art, my daddy my hero, I had just the right Picture. Whenever i look at this picture, I remember all the emotions that I was going through as a confused teenager. My Pops would try to tell me things and I did try to listen, but I think something happens to our ears while we are in that stage of life. At least i can remember a lot of the advice he gave. I still hit myself on the forehead every now and then.... Douh!!!!

Here is Shelby before the dance. She and Stephanie went to Jodi's to get their hair and make-up done. They are really growing up before our eyes. Shelby asked if I would go to the school and take pics at the dance. You all know what I did; I just asked if they would like pictures donated to the school, And I was ready to go. I had so much fun watching the kids dance and laugh. I just hope that everyone likes the pictures as much as I do!

This is Armando. My Eldest Niece's husband. I was given the pleasure of taking the girls Family Portraits last Thanksgiving. I had a blast taking them. We were at the Oceanside Beach Peer in lovely Southern California. This was one of my test shots. I was trying to get the correct exposure.

It's Friday. Yay! I wonder what this weekend has in store for me. I hope to get some of my Paper swap stuff completed. They are not due until March 1st, but time seems to be passing very quickly. Here is it the 23rd of January already. It's two weeks to our Mardi Gras Ball and 3 weeks we'll be going to Fairhope, AL to watch the KOER Madri Gras parade. They also have a parade the same day in the afternoon, but it's for the Dogs. I want to enter Macey in it. I think she would love to do that. I was thinking of dressing her up in her Bumble Bee costume.

Now, as far as my Challenges, I've done a few more today.

Challenges, Challenges, I think I have gone Challenge crazy this month. I have been taking part in several site's activities. I always start at Scrap Out Side The Box. Gotta Pixel is having a Creative Team Member try out challenge. They have a few spots open and I have thrown my hat, er, Layout in the rig. There are also challenges at Been there scrapped that and Go digital scrapbooking. So here we go:

Font Challenge: kit To You With Love by Colie's Corner. I tried a new technique. I tried to make the picture look like it was park of the pink paper.

Hey everyone! I'm so happy. I have had a great new year's eve and day. I have done a lot of things these past few days that make me feel like I'm on the right track to a change in my life's attitude. I did not make a list this year, but I have a lot of Ideas. I spent these days trying to include a piece of my many Ideas, even if it wasn't a lot of time dedicated to doing the activity. I managed to fit in a lot of things.

I'm going to share a few photos I've taken starting on Monday the 29th

I got this shot of the new moon along with Jupiter and Mercury. I took it in my front yard. The planets were just peaking through the trees.

This shot is from where I work in Jay. I took it on the 30th. Boy the sky was really on fire that night.

These next shots are from new years eve.

This is Champ. The newest horse that Shelby has. He's beautiful. She and the rest of the Horse Lovers were camping at Clear water, just 1 mile away from where I live. I stopped by for a while and even had the chance to shoot the horses for a while, while Shelby and Chatted. Before long, Joyce had made a Huge pot of Gumbo. Yum-O. I then left and went back to Jay to get pics of the new moon and Venus and to see if I could get some of Jupiter and Mercury again. There was a line layer of clouds, but I managed to get a few shots.

I loved what the clouds did for my photos. The moon and Venus look great! After I took a nap, yes, I'm getting old now, Linda and our neighbor Berrell had fun shooting fireworks in our yard, while I enjoyed trying to capture them on digi cam. Here are a few pics. The first two I used my tripod. The second two, I had to freehand it. They were too big a bang and straight up for the tripod. I'm very pleased with myself. Even though it was 30 degrees F and the wind blowing, the shots came out pretty. OK, let me hear your OOOOs and AHHHHs.

On this next shot, Linda & I have seen things in the picture. Do you see anything?

WOW, Here it is: New Year's Eve Eve. I can hardly believe it! Where did this year go. I do know one thing that I'm happy about. I've done more Layouts this year than any other year. Yea me!

I have been thinking about what sort of changes I want to make for the new year. Yes, I said Changes instead of Resolutions. My resolutions don't seem to work very well, but when I say I have to change something, It usually works out for the better. SO, I have a new way of thinking about New Years! I was also told by a very good friend, "What you do on New Years Day, You do all year long." So, I have decided that If I am going to change things about myself, I will be doing them on New Years Day! I can tell you I will be scrapping on Thursday! :) I know, who would have guess that?

Ok, On to what I've done today. Here are two Layouts. I used the very cute kit "Just Breathe" by the FAB-O Steph Broccolo of Moosetrak Designs. The first is Of the Lovely Deanna. The 2nd is of the twosome Lizzy and Julianna. I think they look great, Don't you?

Here are a couple of other Layouts I did over the Holiday Week. To get a better view, just click on the image. I used Steph's Kit: Here Be Dragons. When I saw the Kit, I know that these were the Picture for it. I had these pics for years. It's nice to have something to showcase them now.

Did you get to see the moon last night? WOW what a glow. I missed it wed night, but I was able to watch it rise while on my way home from work last night. I had to wait about 15 minutes after I got home to take it's picture. It was well worth the wait!

Election Day!!! I'm very glad that the day is here. I hope everyone VOTES today. It's a wonderful right that we have here in the U.S.A.

Here is the 1st LO i did for National Scrapbooking Day. This is my brother and sister. They are fighting over the newest addition to our family. Now, Cheryl, You need to give everyone a change to hold him! :D

It's a wonderful day in Monroeville, Alabama. The leaves are turning wonderful colors of red and yellow. The squirrels are fast collecting nuts for their winder's rest, and I am inside on my computer scrapping like a fool... lol. I wonder if anyone will really appreciate these layouts when I'm gone. At least I can say that I enjoyed myself making them.

Happy Halloween to you. I'm excited to get Macey ready for tonight. I am taking her to see my mom, which to Macey is 'Grandma'. She gets so excited when I tell her we are going to Grandma's House. I have a costume for her and I will post tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, It is National Scrapbooking Day. I plan on my Scrapping all weekend. Whether I do will be a mystery and a challenge. As you all know, I love a challenge. I know Shelby, Joyce & Martin are camping this weekend and I would love to be over there too getting pictures of Shelby riding. Linda & Gerald are planning on working on the boat shed again. I have things that I want to do, I wonder if I would ever be able to do them all in one weekend. I guess time will tell.

I'm officially back from vacation. I'm not too sure I would call it that, as now, I need rest. I can say it's never a dull moment with my Family. With lots of Hugs, drama, tears and laughs, it will be one I will remember all my life.

Now, you know me, I took some Pictures, just a few. 1410 pictures is just a few, right? Well, for me it is! At least it didn't take me long to download them to my computer and start scrapping.

Here is the First LO and it's a double pager! Just look at that smile and those cute eyes. He is some kind of special. He just melts any anger and hurt that might be wondering around in your heart, with just one look!

Makenleigh and The Crow'sWe started our shoot with this shot. I love It when the first picture comes out great. I put the scarecrows and the pumpkins around. I know that she would love to hold one or two. I just didn't realize that she was going to have so much fun with Mrs. Scarecrow than the pumpkins.

I just stayed back and marveled in her sense of wonder and her energy.

The September Equinox. I woke up today thinking, "ah, only one more day to fall". I Love Fall. As i went outside, there is a nice breeze and i think, "Yes, It's fall". I had to go into the City to go shopping for Steel toe Boots. I need them for work for a short job. I'm very interested in this one. I'll know more about it after tomorrow's Orientation. As excited as I am about this job, I'm disappointed that I could be working ALL DAY and I'll miss all the Prime Fall Photo opportunities that will be out there. Like the Pumpkin Patch. I Drove by it today on my way to the store and I could see rows and rows of pumpkins. Stan's going to have a great Farm year this year. He had a great Watermelon season and it looks like there will be plenty for Ribbon Winners out of the Pumpkin Patch. So, maybe I just need to take my camera with me.... I think I will. You never know what I'll find. Here is a Lay out I did on Friday. It's for the Lyrical Challenge at SOTB. I used a Cute Quick Page by the very talented Brandi White. I really like her QP's I think they are very versatile.

Yea, It's Friday. Do you know what that means? Yes, but I'm not thinking about that. I thinking tomorrow is Saturday! That means I can sleep in. I may not sleep in, but if I wanted to, I could! I think I just like having the Option of it. The dream of sleeping like I was a teenager again. I loved those days. I could stay in bed for 12 hours if I wanted to on a weekend when I was 16.
Anyway, back to Friday. I had a scrappy day yesterday. I did 2 LOs and i prepared 3 of my spots for one of the many swaps I am currently in. I also decided to watch a movie. OMG! I know, I haven't watched a movie in months. Well, after watching the Dodgers win ( Yea! Go Blue!) i started to watch the Diamond Backs and i thought, you know, Linda's sleeping, I bet I have time to watch a movie before I have to get some sleep. So, I picked up the Netfix that I've had for a month and wow. 2hrs and 20 mins later, Hey, it's 12:30am. I guess I need to go to sleep. Am I sleepy? NO. I thinking about that whacked movie, 'No Country for Old Men'. I guess it doesn't matter because now Linda is awake, so we sit up and talk for a bit. I hope today will be a good day. I plan on working on more LOs and swaps. Here is one LO i did yesterday. I used the kit Primary by Steph Broccolo of Moosetrak Designs. Boxy is so Cute! Look at him in his new school clothes.... :) Yea

Well, Today is another day and since my back still is hurting from last week, I declaired this "A Scrapping Day". (Did that echo in your head, like it did mine? Wow). Ok, truth is, I did get my work done today and had lots of time before I would close the office down, so why not have a scrapping day. So, I looked through files and files and Hey, there's a great Pic. It just happens to fit with the New Kit that Steph came out with so, There I go! lol or went, and I have a new LO. Yea me!!!!!
